A vivid choral setting drawn from the Kalevala, Finland’s national epic, this short cycle explores elemental themes of air, ocean, storm, and creation. Its imagery evokes a spiritual relationship to the natural world—a recurring theme in Ordway's work—and invites reflection on origins: of life, of culture, and of our ecological awareness.
